Remote Property Management

PMMRAC has a dedicated Property Management Department that provides housing and property management services together with a support and tenancy education programme to 145 houses located in 12 x remote communities to ensure the properties are in a proper working state that repairs are conducted and issues reported. The services provided include:

  • Interviewing prospective tenants
  • Processing applications for housing, improvements and repairs
  • Rent collection
  • Inspection of properties
  • Managing nuisance orders
  • Dealing with breaches
  • Liaison with specific organisations i.e. tenant groups, real estate agents etc. where required
  • Abandoned tenancies, squatters and unauthorised occupiers
  • Liaison with wardens, caretakers, cleaners and maintenance staff
  • Report writing
  • Manage relevant waiting lists in consultation with relevant authorities

Housing Officers also work in partnership with other organisations to best meet the needs of the community.
